Thanks for join. I have a db 990 select. Its still in work on a small farming lite topping. Moving agrigate to drive eay pot hoke with loader . Start s ok with q start spray . This week started ok after winter lay up . Ticked over whilst i opened gates went back it had stop . I notice coolent coming out of water pump and bearings are shot . Couldnt start it again . Noticed id left fuel cap off and water had got it top . Weve had plenty of rain here in Cornwall uk. I drained and flushed tank, changed filters . Cleaner out f pump . Bled filters . Then pump . Then cracked tops of injectors and pump lift pump . It took long time to get anythink thro. Cranked over on key pkus q start puf. Battery not brill so charged it 8 hours . Still wouldnt start .i had removed a lot of gunge and water . One thing im not sure about . Do you have to stop fuel line that gies back to tank overflow whilst bleeding . If so how .
Do you get a decent flow of diesel at the injectors when you cracked the nuts? I’ve never had to do anything with the return fuel pipe when bleeding in the past but I could be wrong.
Was the lift pump etc strong before the water issue? Did you change the seals on the fuel filters?
I bleed the injector feeds pipes for mins and had a fully charged battery and it started straight away with a small puff of quick start .Thanks for help . Just a new water pump to do now .
